In the WordPress administration, go to “Search Tools – PRO Settings”. Find “Validator Settings” section, where you can define couple of useful restrictions to the search functionality:
- Characters min. – minimum characters a term must contain
- Characters max. – maximum characters a term can contain
- Letters check – if checked, terms with only letters (e.g. 2024) are blocked
- Black list – forbidden words, cannot be included in the term
- Error message – 403 error, which is thrown if a term doesn’t pass the validator
If Validator is active, SPAM terms are not counted into the Statistics any more.
